Once I graduated from a nursing program and passed my NCLEX in the United States, I needed to find an employment opportunity. However, many of you may have heard how difficult to apply for an RN position without a residency status or most of the hospitals may not be willing to support or petition for foreign workers to apply for a working visa or green card. I almost gave up my hope of working in the United States and thought all my efforts (uncountable sleepless nights and extreme stressful student life) would go in vain. The turning point was that I found PassportUSA on September 20, 2016. I immediately reached out with fingers crossed, and waited to hear their reply. Three days later, I was offered to sign a contract after an interview with my International Recruiter, Shane, who endorsed me to the immigration process and gathered my relevant information. He then transferred my case to my Processing Associate, Derrick. Under his help and guidance, I successfully completed my VisaScreen, passed IELTS and obtained my priority date. Long story short, they were the reasons to keep me having faith and confidence to believe that I can make it. Certainly, there were some obstacles along the journey but Derrick was supportive and positive. He attempted all possible ways to ensure I was comfortable and motivated to take up challenges. I also had received a lot of help from Molly (Career Service Advisor) and Angela (Licensing Specialist); these ladies were very kind and committed. They have been working on my behalf to communicate with Nursing Board, IELTS training program and other sorts of organizations. By August 2018, I had received my green card visa and began my deployment plan. With help from Emal, a Housing & Travel Specialist, I was given housing options and transportation arrangement prior to my entry to the USA. I have nothing to stress about. All credits to the excellent Health Carousel team. We as nurses, believe that one life can make a difference. Every single amazing person I've met from Health Carousel definitely brought changes into my life. If you happened to be in a similar situation as I did or are looking for good people to commit in helping you and your family, contact Health Carousel and experience it yourself, the only thing you would regret is that you should have called earlier.
