Rising Above Retrogression

Toye, a dedicated Filipino nurse, dared to dream of practicing medicine in the United States, envisioning a life of service to patients. However, the path to realizing this dream was far from easy.

Toye's journey began as a young child with a profound desire to become a nurse in the U.S. After passing his NCLEX in 2008, he took the initial steps toward this dream, applying with an agency in the Philippines. Unfortunately, the economic downturn in the U.S. led to visa retrogression, delaying Toye's application for nearly a decade.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, Toye was abandoned by the initial agency, leaving him questioning whether the U.S. was the right path for him. But fate had more in store for Toye.

In 2017, Toye's story took a turn for the better when Health Carousel International recaptured him through the PassportUSA program. Swiftly, the team behind the PassportUSA program set up an interview. He has gone through the immigration process and Toye found himself flying to the U.S. in no time because of the quick process. The dream that had been deferred for a decade became a reality on December 19, 2017.

Now in the U.S., Toye thrives as a nurse, cherishing picturesque landscapes and financial freedom to explore the country and his passion. Continuing his journey with Health Carousel’s travel nursing division, Toye has become a travel nurse, aiming to explore the diverse beauty of the country.

Toye's narrative is a testament to the unwavering spirit of healthcare heroes. Despite setbacks and challenges, Health Carousel International played a pivotal role in making Toye's dream come true. His story is not just about becoming a U.S. registered nurse; it reflects the essence of compassionate care and the triumph of determination.

Toye loves to say “PassportUSA will never abandon anyone.” he is the epitome of this.
