Education

As the largest school district in New Mexico, Gallup McKinley County Schools includes 34 schools for the community residents as well as Navajo Nation and the Zuni Pueblo. The district features 19 elementary schools, 7 middle schools, and 10 high schools. A new dual-credit school, McKinley Academy, allows students to complete college courses and graduate with an associate’s degree at the same time as they receive a high school diploma. Deaf preschool-age children are able to attend the Gallup branch of the New Mexico School for the Deaf.
