March 20, 2020
#ThankfulThursdays posts celebrate the career and personal achievements of our healthcare professionals who have reached the end of their temp-to-perm assignments at their assigned PassportUSA client healthcare organizations.
PassportUSA is honored to have employed Maria Mia, aka Mia, a registered nurse, who has now reached the end of her temp-to-perm assignment.Mia found an apartment within a short commute from her facility and was able to enjoy the time spent there with neighbors and her family. Her family attended their local church and they stayed up-to-date on community activities. Mia is proud to have purchased two cars in the U.S. so far and she looks forward to exploring more that the USA has to offer.
A Top Performer
While she was on assignment, Mia was recognized as a2016 PassportUSA Employee of the Month!
"Being recognized as the PassportUSA Employee of the Month was such an amazing experience because it showed that my hard work and effort was not unseen. My assigned facility is the best workplace I have ever worked at in my entire life and there is nothing negative about it that I can think of." -Mia
In her final performance review, the facility's Director of Surgical Services commented:
"Mia has been a pleasure to work with and an asset to our team. She provides safe and effective patient care daily. She takes pride in a job well done. Mia is always willing to help others. She is kind and compassionate."
Reflecting on Her Journey
"My family loves living in the USA. We are more independent and adventurous. There are a lot of opportunities to enhance our careers.
PassportUSA/Health Carousel supports nurses who dream of living and working in the USA. They fulfill their mission and uphold their values and I am proud to be part of this amazing company. I am grateful to have worked with PassportUSA/Health Carousel. PassportUSA International Employee Supervisors; Jamie and Ashley went above and beyond to be there for me. They made me feel important and valued. Thank you both.
I also want to thank my OR team for influencing me to become a more effective and efficient OR nurse. The environment felt like family and I learned numerous skills that made me who I am today."
What's next for Mia?
Mia received a full-time employment offer from the facility, however she is pursuing family priorities. We know she will continue to exceed her employer's and patients' expectations wherever she is.[caption id="attachment_353427" align="aligncenter" width="375"]
