We asked our healthcare professional to share his or her story of perseverance, adjustment and professional growth.Vannetta is from Jamaica and is currently working at a client facility in Texas. She has been working in her field for 11 years and with PassportUSA for almost 1 year.Why did you decide to become a medical technologist? "I have always been interested in healthcare. I also liked technological equipment. Medical technology is a combination of my two great loves, working with ever-evolving technologies and still contributing to the healthcare of others."

Before coming to the US, where did you practice your profession?�"I worked for ten years in the lab at a hospital for children in Jamaica honing my skills, gaining experience and contributing to the well-being of my patients."Why did you want to come to the US? "I wanted to come to the US to broaden my skillset, grow professionally, introduce my kids to another culture, and provide them with the opportunities to achieve their full potential."How did you first hear of PassportUSA?�"I researched healthcare staffing companies and PassportUSA popped up. "My current facility has more advanced equipment and tests, and there is always the possibility for growth and I find working in the USA helps me maintain a balanced work-life."How have you grown professionally?
