Face-to-Face Relationships Key to Success
August 21, 2020
Our clinical nursing team and account managers frequently visit our client facilities to see how our nurses are performing, spot opportunities for enhanced patient care, and celebrate exemplary achievements. We feel these interactions are critical to the success of the PassportUSA program. Detailed below are just three of the many ways the PassportUSA team works to build strong face-to-face relationships with our clients and nurses throughout the duration of our partnership.
Quarterly PassportUSA DAISY Awards
The DAISY award is a prestigious award given to RNs who stand out for their positive, consistent efforts to help patients and teammates and for a love of their work as a nurse. Every quarter, the PassportUSA DAISY award committee selects one of our working nurses to be recognized for their excellence in nursing practice. Our committee receives numerous nurse nominations each quarter, but only one nurse is ultimately selected to receive the prestigious award. Our clinical nursing team makes an in-person site visit to present an award certificate and a hand-carved statue of "The Healer's Touch" to the nurse. The winner's manager and co-workers attend the award presentation as well. Further, PassportUSA provides all nursing unit members with Cinnabon pastries! (Visit daisyfoundation.org to learn the whole story behind the DAISY Award and why Cinnabon is a traditional part of the award ceremony.)All of our award winners and nominations are featured in our Nursing Superstars Blog. We are proud of you all!
Group Celebrations
Our Vice President of International Operations, CNO, clinical nursing team, and International Employee Supervisors can be spotted quite regularly at picnics, barbecues, and holiday celebrations organized by our working nurses or their facilities. We are happy to be invited and attend celebrations across the USA. We believe that a great working relationship can be strengthened by shared experiences outside of the workplace!
Business Reviews
While PassportUSA enjoys awards and celebrations, we realize our purpose is to help our nurses and clients provide exemplary patient care. That is why regular Business Reviews are critical. These meetings include a status update on the relationship, a review of clinical performance, an assessment of future staffing needs, and discussions on the effective use of HealthStream and ATI nurse onboarding and training resources.
We Care - We Are Accessible
PassportUSA cares about our nurses and the quality of care they provide to patients. We also aim to please our client healthcare facilities. And while we are always available via phone and email, we realize that in-person meetings and celebrations are critically important. That's why our management team visits 1-2 client facility locations each week.
