I started my application with Health Carousel back in 2015. All I wanted that time was to start my application to USA without any idea. I am so lucky to have been referred by my friend to Health Carousel for they were so supportive and responsive. But suddenly, I lost track and ended up putting off my American dream due to some personal reasons and opted to stay in my comfort zone by sticking in my job as a staff nurse in UAE. Health Carousel did its best to persuade me to push through but I was already decided not to give it a try.

Unfortunately pandemic hit the entire world and my status in the country I am working at became challenging and the workload in Abu Dhabi became more complex. This predicament made me and my wife to pursue our original plan which is to continue my application going to US. Luckily, I am so blessed to have been given the chance by Health Carousel to retrieve and push though with said application. My journey as a Nurse has been of growth, resilience, and dedication. Starting out, I was eager but unsure of what lay ahead. I’ve experienced the struggles of being a Nurse here in the Philippines, including receiving a very low salary. That’s when I knew I had to look for better opportunities for myself and also for my family. I was browsing the internet and searched online for some opportunities abroad and found Health Carousel. I came to know about Health Carousel through one of my friends who is also currently their employee. It took almost 1.5 years to complete the visa processing and get our family's visa approved. My favourite moments remain today, patiently looking forward to the monthly chats/ calls as I am yet to meet them in person, as I consider them my extended family (IPA and IDA). Also looking back another the experience of traveling to the USA and being booked in a hotel (grateful).

With this in mind, I owe them my gratitude to lead this far.

I have been waiting for this moment since I graduated from nursing school in 2009. I knew about PassportUSA well before I passed my NCLEX and signed up for newsletters, which have been very encouraging in chasing my dream of working as an RN in the USA. My journey with PassportUSA began in 2017 when I came across their ad on the internet. Without hesitation, I tried to inquire about their Medtech Job opening. At that time, PassportUSA was only offering H1-B visa. Fortunately, after some exchange of emails and assessments, I got qualified in their program. So all in all, my application took 7 years.

I am arriving with my spouse and my only daughter, who is quite excited as we embark on the next chapter of our life. At the age of 13, I can say that she is old enough to discern things and I trust that she can adjust in time.

Looking back, I can say that this application with PPUSA has somewhat been a roller coaster ride, from moments of reluctance due to uncertainties, to bouts of stress brought about by compliance to all requirements. But at the end, I can say that it was all indeed worth it!

I'm thrilled about my relocation to the States – indeed, PassportUSA has made my dream come true! A friend introduced me to PassportUSA, but unfortunately, they gave up along the way due to the patience and hard work required for this journey.
