The PassportUSA international recruitment team is excited to be conducting in-person nurse interviews in the Philippines later this month. The staff at Health Carousel Philippines will be scheduling candidates for the interviews. If you are selected and scheduled for an in-person interview with our team in Manila or Cebu, here’s a sneak peek at what to expect:
Date and time
Nurse interviews will be conducted in Manila at the Health Carousel Philippines office (located in the JMT Corporate Condominium) from July 24 to July 26. There will be two sessions per day (morning and afternoon). Interviews will be conducted in Cebu on July 27 and July 28 at the Marriott Hotel on Cardinal Rosales Avenue; there will again be two sessions per day (morning and afternoon). The Health Carousel Philippines office will be confirming the date and time of your interview. Prior to your one-on-one interview, PassportUSA International Recruitment Manager Erica Ponchot will be presenting useful information to attendees.
What should I bring to the interview?
You are not required to bring anything to the interview, but it is recommended that you have an updated résumé on hand.
How should I dress?
If you are coming to the interview from or on your way to a shift at a medical facility, scrubs are certainly acceptable. Otherwise, please wear business casual attire.
What will the interview format look like?
Each interview will be conducted in a one-on-one format with either Erica Ponchot or Mike Comerford (see bios below). The interviews will last 10-20 minutes.
What are the interviewers looking for?
The PassportUSA team will be looking for a few different things during your interview. Some of these include (but are not limited to):
- When you passed your NCLEX examination (or when you plan on taking the exam if you are a recent nursing school graduate eligible for our Aspire program).
- Your communications skills.
- Your clinical skills. (If you are not currently working at a healthcare facility, why?)
- Your attitude.
How long after the nurse interviews should I expect to hear from PassportUSA?
The PassportUSA team asks that you please be prepared to accept a position on the spot. While the timing of offers can vary, our staff typically prefers to move through the process quickly once a qualified candidate is identified.
