October 2018 Nurse Employee of the Month - Emmanuela

Emmanuela is one of our wonderful RNs currently assigned in Nebraska. She is from the Philippines and has been in the healthcare field for 6 years and with PassportUSA for 2 years! When you are working with nonjudgmental, understanding, caring colleagues who are very good with teamwork, everything will be fine. I love my team!"What do you like to do outside of work? "I'm a mother of two smart boys so if I'm not working, I'm spending most of my time with them especially with my youngest who has been diagnosed with speech delay. I'm helping him in every possible way a mother could, like doing my own research and preparing materials that I could use to help him. When my sons are in school, I binge watch Netflix, bake cookies, and spend time with friends of course. I maintain a work-life balance."What is your favorite American food?�"Slow-roasted prime rib with au jus sauce. So mouth-watering delicious."What do you love most about being a RN?�"When you are a nurse, you know every day whether you will touch a life or a life will touch yours. I've heard about this a long time ago, but never really fathomed the meaning until I became a nurse."Tell us something unique about you!�"I know four languages: English, Tagalog, Cebuano, and average Spanish. Also, aside from being a RN, I'm a certified medical transcriptionist/editor, which I'm still practicing during my free time just to keep my skills going in that field. Lastly, I love reading.
