The PassportUSA program is your comprehensive roadmap to becoming a US RN. Every journey is unique, and we are committed to guiding and supporting you through each milestone in the process.
As a certified Ethical Recruitment Company, we believe in providing honest and transparent guidance to our candidates. Our team of International Recruiters is dedicated to assisting you in understanding the eligibility requirements for our PassportUSA program and addressing any questions or concerns you may have regarding life and work in the US. With our expertise and support, you can confidently determine if our program is the right fit for you and your career aspirations.
Upon joining our program, you will be assigned an International Program Associate (IPA) who will instruct you on the essential documents needed to file your visa petition. If applicable, we also provide support for test preparation, covering the costs and assisting you in preparing for both the English Proficiency exam and the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
Our experienced legal team will meticulously review your documents prior to filing your visa petition with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to maximize your chances for approval.
Once your visa is approved by USCIS, your priority date will be secured which represents your “place in line” to obtain your visa!
Once your visa has been approved, we will help you explore healthcare facilities to find an assignment location that fits your career aspirations and lifestyle preferences. The interview timeline varies based on current client needs and your preferences, but we will submit your resume to open positions and work towards securing your client selection. After you complete a successful interview, you will receive an offer to finalize your assignment location.
Around the same time as visa approval, you will be transferred to an International Deployment Advocate (IDA) who will help you gather the documents needed for the National Visa Center (NVC) for our legal team to submit.
Your IDA will work with our credentialing team to provide you with a list of credentials required for nursing in the US and will guide you through the rest of the immigration process, assignment selection, and embassy interview preparation.
Once the NVC receives your paid fee bills and deems you “documentarily qualified,” you will become eligible for your embassy appointment!
Once you have been selected for an assignment, you move onto the embassy appointment. Your arrival date to the US will be determined pending completion of credentials, state licensure, and orientation dates.
Congratulations! Our Travel and Housing Team will book your travel and assist with housing, ensuring a smooth transition for the start of your US nursing career. An International Employee Supervisor will be assigned to support you throughout your assignment and assist you in acclimating to life in the US.
As you embark on your assignment, you will have the opportunity to climb our Clinical Ladder program, designed to honor nursing excellence and nurture your professional journey. Our team of Career Coaches will partner with you to craft a tailored career development plan and delve into additional pathways for growth, including participation in our work-study program post-assignment completion, should you wish to further advance your career.
