Aeven is a Registered Nurse who is from the Philippines and is currently assigned in North Carolina. She has been working in the healthcare field for 11 years and has been working with PassportUSA for two years!

"Aeven was one of the first PassportUSA nurses we have ever had on our unit and we have all been completely blown away. From day one she was eager to learn and instantly fit in with the team. Health Carousel is a known reliable company in the Philippines, and I knew that my future would be in good hands with them."What do you like most about working with our client? "Apart from working with the best colleagues, I am happy that the unit leaders and managers are always easy to reach whenever you need them. They cater to each employee’s situation. Every time I have clarifications regarding work or policies, my manager gives me a response. Just recently, I felt so appreciated when my colleagues gave me a surprise birthday party."What do you like to do outside of work? "I usually stay at home, especially with the pandemic. But whenever there is an opportunity, I bring my kids to places here in North Carolina like museums, parks, and botanical gardens. I like long drives because it relaxes my mind, especially since there is no traffic here. I love cooking and I invite the other PassportUSA nurses to my home to share my dishes with them."What do you love most about being an RN? "What I love most about being a nurse is that I get to see my patients improve. Seeing them walk again or be back to their pre-hospital state is the goal every healthcare worker looks forward to. We have seen them at their worst and to see them smile and be functional again makes us realize we have done a great job."What is your favorite American food? "Seafood boil with Louisiana seasonings, definitely! New Mexican pozole is comfort food too."Have you received any awards or recognition from the client facility? "I was recognized for having a 100% compliance in notifying critical results at my facility."Tell us something unique about you! "I came here to the USA with my husband and daughter. We were originally in New Mexico then transferred to North Carolina. We went on a road trip for four days and stopped in over 8 states: New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. We have also been to Arizona. I am fluent in Filipino, English, and a little bit of Arabic."What's your favorite quote? Sujin is a Registered Nurse who is from South Korea and is currently assigned in Alaska. She has been working in the healthcare field for 14 years and has been working with PassportUSA for over three years!

"Sujin has quickly become a vital member of the team here. Sujin provides excellent patient care and our leadership team regularly receives positive feedback about Sujin from patients during patient rounding. Sujin has recently started being utilized as a preceptor and is showing herself to be a great asset in this area as well. Sujin is always willing to pick up extra shifts or switch shifts when her schedule allows and comes in and helps out last minute when we are in a bind. Our team loves Sujin!"

I compared lots of agencies that recruited nurses internationally. Health Carousel was one of the largest companies in this field, had Joint Commission approval, and provided reasonable benefits including medical insurances and a pension plan. I found that I could trust this company and I still do."What do you like most about working with our client? "I am currently working as a labor and delivery nurse. The first thing I like about my hospital is that it provides lots of educational opportunities including BLS, ACLS, NRP, ALSO, STABLE, intermittent fetal monitoring, advanced fetal monitoring courses, and more. I learned so much here and grew. The second thing I love most about working here is that this hospital does really care about people. I am treated as their work family and a core member. It is very important to have a sense of belonging somewhere, especially as a newcomer. I like that this client facility welcomed me and supported me with patience until I felt comfortable and confident."What do you like to do outside of work? "I work out a lot. I do Jujutsu and kickboxing. I also like outdoor activities. There are so many things to do in Alaska. I have gone hiking a lot with my co-workers and recently I started ice fishing!"What do you love most about being an RN? "I like being a nurse because it helps me grow. I see a lot of family dynamics while I take care of patients and build rapport, which makes my understanding of humans deeper and wider. It makes me more mature as I continue to work."What is your favorite American food? "I LOVE Chicago deep dish pizza!"Have you received any awards or recognition from the client facility? "The management team of my unit issues newsletters every week. They write positive feedbacks on the newsletters whenever they get it from the patients. I received several recognitions from my patients for my excellent care."Tell us something unique about you! "My older sister is expecting a baby. I have been able to help her and give her advice as an L&D nurse even though we are in different countries. I quilted two baby blankets with my crafty co-workers and just sent them to her. Matthew is a Physical Therapist who is from Taiwan and is currently assigned in Maryland. He has been working in the healthcare field for 17 years and has been working with PassportUSA for over 3 years!

Health Carousel provided really great assistance through every step in the immigration process and everyone that has helped me is so kind and patient."What do you like most about working with our client? "It is an amazing journey to work with a great home health care team and really involved in delivering the best practice of care in patients' homes to help them return to their prior level of function."What do you like to do outside of work? "I enjoy spending time with family for outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. I also like to cook and play music with my kids. I am also a German car enthusiast."What do you love most about being a PT? "As a Home Health PT, I love most not only to help patients return to their life but also to get to know people and really understand their challenges at the home, and also learn from them. "I came to the United States in 2011 for my graduate schools. I had lived in Connecticut and Massachusetts for several years and now settled in Maryland. I've been married for 10 years to my wife, who is an occupational therapist. We have a son and daughter. I had a cross-country trip back in 2015 when I drove from Connecticut to the west coast and drove all the way back. I have visited around 35 states and got a chance to know this great country a little bit more. I would definitely do it again!"What's your favorite quote?
